NEGLIGENCE

"Kaan pe se Utarana " a famous quote in Hindi for the negligence, at times it can be very painful for us while facing the consequences. I ruin my whole day during this Diwali due to not listening to my elders. Well I was happy as I reached my home on 19 October and after doing some routine work I started looking for Diwali lights so that I can check them and put them up. In this my whole day went and comes the next morning I cleaned up all the rooms and did some rearrangements, moping, placing things in order and cleaning the car and other stuffs. I was happy as the things were going and then next day we had a huge entrance gate which has two doors it is of iron with wooden slots placed in between them silver painted, so some rust was there on it and we decided to get it painted so we called the painter and he turned up that day, so I also assisted him while putting out the wooden blocks as they were fixed with two screws and due to rust it was very difficult task to put out some of them while doing this my father instructed me to use a marker and put the serial number on the slots as wells the wooden plank so that while refitting them it would be easier for us to do it. But I didn't much attention to that and focused on putting them  out as soon as possible. In some of the slots we even have to use hammer as they were stuck due to rusting around 4 pm in the evening we were able to complete this task and then the painter painted the gate  along with the wooden plank. 

Next morning we planned that we would not call the painter and instead I would fix the wooden planks in the slot as we taken the L key to tighten the wooden screws and thought it would be done easily, I came to start this task around 8 am in the morning and started to fix them up but nearly 1:30 hour gone I was not able to fix the single one because they all look similar in size and slots were also somewhat alike and then came my father asking did I number those? I replied I did but due to the paint on the wooden planks I couldn't find them now, though it was a mere lie, and I continued to find some solution, and it was nearly 11 am three hours I couldn't fix one I started to worry now, As I had taken this task in my hand and I don't want to leave it that situation or condition. Meanwhile accessing the situation we called the painter so that he can use his intellects in doing that, as he came it was some sort of relief for me as two are better than one, we both started to check one by one each slot with each wooden plank , but the result was same, though we were able to fix some of those, and it was 2 pm in the afternoon nobody from both us had drank even a single sip of water nor didn't have eaten a single bite of food. It was a challenge for us to complete that as next day we had the festival of Diwali.
